I would like to split variables into multiple categories for organization and ease of reading.  It would be useful to be able to have multiple sheets in the variables window, similat to how you can have multiple sheets in an excel spreadhsheet or multiple sheets in a schematic.

An example of how it may be used.  I could have three sheets named:

Simulation Parameters
Hardware Configuration Parameters
Control Parameters

I would like to slitely amend this feature request.  I think it should support variable sectionalization, similar to other configurration files.  To do this the sheet names should not include spaces, /, ., #, etc.

A DEFAULT sheet can't be renamed, and allows variables that don't need sectionalized referencing.  So, we can have the following:

[DEFAULT]
 x1 = ..
 x2 = ..
[firmware_param]
 x1 = ..
 x2=..
[hardware_param]
  x1=..
   x2=..

Which would be referenced like the following

x1 = DEFAULT.x1
x2 = DEFAULT.x2
firmware_param.x1
firmware_param.x2
hardware_param.x1
hardware_param.x2

We can go farther, to make variables list as a tree, with access to branches and "leaves" through dot notation, such as:
root.params.x1
root.params.firmawre.x1
etc.
